A visit from Germany

Katie was back from Germany for a whirlwind visit--actually, to pick up her son, Aaron and take him to Germany with her. We LOVED having Katie here, but we missed having David too!

Katie stayed with us and we spent every waking moment with Tammy and Mercy doing fun things that girls like to do: Shopping, Swimming, Gabbing, Doing nails, Playing games, Eating, Laughing, Just spending time together!

We went to the Outlets Mall in Castle Rock (which, based on price, most of the stores are NOT out let stores)! Katie SPOILED Mercy and Jocelyn with a new summer wardrobe. It was one of the best shopping trips I have been on in a very long time! Katie had so much fun picking out clothes for the girls, and we had so much fun adoring them wear the clothes!!! Katie, your generosity and love is a blessing! Photos with the adorable clothes to come later!

Yesterday, we did some running around and a little shopping at Wal-Mart. Mercy and Jocelyn found some paddle boards and decided to make a chop-choo train down the aisle with them. They had a blast, and we let them have a blast!! Then they found a kiddie pool filled with flip flops under a swim-suit rack display. They crawled into the pool and played around for a while. Again, they had a blast and we let them! Who knew Wal-Mart could be soooo much fun?!?

After our Wal-Mart adventure, we went to our friend Kevin's house and swam in his pool. I cannot even begin to explain how much Jocelyn loves the water! She wants to swim by herself, regardless if she can touch the bottom or stay afloat! She loves jumping off the edge and tries to jump out of the reach of whoever is there to catch her, and loves going underwater!

After our swimming adventures, we hung out at our place. Tammy taught Katie how to do the Jamberry Nail Wraps. Kevin grilled for us, we ate and played games.

This morning, I had to deliver Katie to Aaron, so they could get to Denver to get on the plane and fly back to Germany (sad, pouty face). Perhaps, someday, we will have enough money for a few plane tickets to Germany for a European vacation with some wonderful friends!!!

We love and miss you, Katie and David and Aaron!!!

I love the underwater picture of Jocelyn. That picture is priceless. You are such a good mommy, letting her have all these experiences. So many parents let the tv raise their children. Love, Mom

Seeing miss Jocelyn love the water reminds me of us growing up and how much you, Kim and me loved the pool....and of how much I wanted to swim on my own in the deep end so I could be with my sisters. Love and miss you guys so much! Kari
